Anthropic joins the AI App race and launches Claude for iOS

The AI chatbot war is heating up, and Anthropic is stepping onto the mobile battlefield.

The company rolled out its Claude for iOS app, making it easier than ever for users to interact with its advanced language models on the go, reports ARS Technica.

Until now, Claude was only accessible via a web app, API integrations, and third-party platforms, but this launch brings the chatbot directly to iPhone users.

Like OpenAI’s ChatGPT app, Claude’s mobile version lets users chat and even upload photos for analysis—a feature that makes it stand out in the increasingly competitive AI space.

For now, the Claude app is exclusive to Apple devices, but Anthropic confirmed that an Android version is in the works.

The move follows in the footsteps of competitors like OpenAI, Microsoft, and Google, all of which have mobile-friendly AI solutions.

Claude’s iOS app runs on Claude Sonnet for free users and Claude Opus for Pro subscribers, tapping into the Claude 3 model family that launched in March.

Anthropic offers three versions: Opus (most powerful), Sonnet (balanced), and Haiku (lightweight).

Alongside the app, Anthropic introduced a new $30/month Team plan, aimed at businesses and workgroups.

It includes:

✅ More chat queries with higher usage limits
✅ Access to all three Claude models
✅ A massive 200K token context window for handling long documents
✅ Admin tools for team management and billing

Whether you’re a solo AI enthusiast or part of a team, Claude is now more accessible than ever—and it looks like the battle for AI supremacy just got even more intense.
